DocGPT provides summaries and detailed insights, extracts critical information, and can even generate new content based on your queries. Functionality

Other than the obvious-to-have functionality of User Management and Security, the key functionalities are:

• Document Summarization: Generate concise summaries of uploaded documents, making it easier for users to grasp the main points and key information.
• Question-Answering: Users can ask questions about the uploaded documents, and DocGPT will provide accurate and relevant answers based on the content.
• Keyword Extraction: Extraction of important keywords and phrases from the document, helping users quickly identify the main topics and themes.
• Content Generation: In addition to summarization, generate new content based on user queries, providing additional insights and information.
• API Documentation Analysis: DocGPT can analyze and summarize API documentation, helping developers quickly understand and use different APIs and libraries.

  Scope

  Considering the limited time we have left with in the semster, the scope for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), would be limited to the functionalities:

• User Management: This includes creation of users, login/logout, managament of permissions and other user related details.
• Basic Document Upload: Ability for users to upload documents in a few supported formats (PDF & DOCX) and process them to extract text.
• Document Summarization and QnA: Basic functionality for summarizing document contents and question-answering over document’s content.
• User Interface: An responsive and modern-look interface, supporting other implemented functionalities.

Quality Attributes

• Reliable: The system should consistently provide accurate summaries and answers.
• Scalable: The system should be able to handle a large number of users and documents without significant performance degradation.
• Availability: The system should be available and accessible to users whenever they need it.
• Usability: The system should be easy to use, with a user-friendly interface and intuitive interactions.

Evaluation

For the above suggested functionalities and quality attributes, the evaluation can be done as:

• Measure user creation and management for user management functionality.
• Measure upload and processing times for document upload functionality.
• Evaluate the accuracy of summaries and answers for document summarization and QnA.
• Use usability testing or heuristic evaluation to evaluate the user interface.
• Conduct automated and manual tests to compare system-generated summaries and answers with expected results. (For evaluating Reliability)
• Conduct load testing to simulate a large number of concurrent users and documents to validate scalability.
• Measure uptime and downtime for availability.
• Conduct usability tests with representative users to identify and address usability issues.
